Stunting in the Speed Boats of Battlefield 2
There’s a little-known stunt that is quite easy to pull of while driving the RIB’s in Battlefield 2. A few months ago, I took this snapshot of a guy at Gulf of Oman and had never really thought about it since. I had simply shrugged it off as a glitch of no particular value. But when I heard that when done properly, the speed potentional was far greater while doing this than normal.

A couple weeks ago, I decided to try it myself and, after many failed attempts, found that the trick is to carefully manage the throttle. Too much and the boat will flip over backwards or takes damage. Too little and it falls back down. As you can see from the following video, once the throttle is in the “sweet spot,” you don’t have to do anything more- you can even hop into other positions in the boat and it keeps moving on its own.

Is there any advantage to doing this? Not likely. Sure, it may get you where you’re headed “in style,” but the RIB’s are so delicate that they can be destroyed with just a small amount of gunfire.
